The SlideSpace E-Learning Platform is a web-based solution for
education of histopathology and cytology. It is not intended to be an interactive WSI analysis classroom such as provided by some slide viewers. Instead, the platform offers a comprehensive and flexible medium to organize complete online courses, including theory and practice.
The platform is role-based, allowing training administrators (teachers) to provide various educational materials, including text, PDF documents, URL's, images, presentations, videos and whole slide images (WSI). The images can be viewed and analyzed in SlideSpace's embedded Slide Viewer.
Modular Design
In order to make comprehensive courses more digestible, courses can be split up into modules, each covering specific topics and containing educational material, WSI's, exercises, quizzes and surveys at the organizer's discretion.
Flexibility for Teachers and Students
The training participants (students) can register for the course(s) and work through the course materials and exercises remotely from any location and device, at their convenience. There is no limit to the number of training participants that can be accomodated.
The platform allows training administrators to monitor various analytics, conduct assessments, and evaluate pre and post-test performance of the participants.
